Our diffusers are a great way to freshen up a space, add a subtle sweetness in the air, and bring the fresh smells from nature into your home. You may be wondering how a little bottle of liquid with sticks in it is able to do all that. Let’s start with understanding a bit about how diffusers work.

Reed Diffusers have two important components, the liquid and the reeds. The scented liquid mixture is made up of fragrance oils that we blend with a nontoxic liquid base, which is designed to evaporate quickly. When the porous reeds are placed into the mixture, the liquid travels up through the reeds and as it evaporates, the fragrance is diffused into the air. That is how we, very simply, get your home smelling like a dream.

We love diffusers because they're low maintenance compared to candles. There's no flame involved so you can just throw the reeds in and forget about it! The perfect setup for the powder room, closet, guest room or vacation home. We know you have questions, and we’re here to help. Here are a few tips to help you maintain your diffuser:

5 helpful tips for using diffusers

1.

For maximum fragrance, use more reeds!!

For small rooms, or to tone down the intensity, we use 4-6 reeds. For maximum power or a larger room use all 8. We sell extra reeds on our site, if for any reason you need more.

2.

Flip the reeds every once in a while.

If the scent of your diffuser has faded a bit, flipping the reeds will redistribute the liquid. We flip weekly, but every other week works too.

3.

Know that your diffuser liquid won’t completely evaporate.

The diffuser is done when there’s only about an inch of liquid left in the bottle, or it has become very viscous and too thick to travel through the reeds. That’s when it's time to repurpose the bottle, or bring it back to us for rewards points!

4.

Seasonally switch your fragrance, keep the box and cap.

Our diffusers last up to 6 months! You can easily swap them out seasonally if you save the box and bottle cap, then store in a temperature controlled environment for up to a year. This is also the perfect way to return the empty container to us, just be sure to dump out the excess first!

5.

Use a designer bottle or vase for a unique vibe.

Did you know you can pour the diffuser liquid into a different container?? Choose one to match your home’s vibe, or make your favorite jar a diffuser! A container with a narrow opening is best to reduce exposure to air and debris. Simply pour in the liquid and add the reeds.
