How does it work?

Our diffusers are a low-to-no VOC carrier oil combined with our fragrances which are drawn up through the responsibly harvested rattan reeds and diffused into the air. Our fragrances are a blend of essential and other perfume grade fragrances in skin safe base oil. Over time the diffuser base liquid will all evaporate and the remaining oil will look very thick and viscous, the bottle will never be completely empty. You will know the diffuser is done when you no longer smell the fragrance from a distance and the remaining liquid in the bottle is very thick and discolored, there will be up to an inch of liquid remaining.

Tips from the maker: To start a new diffuser, insert as many reeds as desired into the liquid and flip them after 24 hours. For a small space you may not want to use all the reeds provided, or use them all for maximum fragrance throw. To maintain consistent scent flow, we like to flip our reeds every week or so from there on out.

All of our products are lovingly handcrafted by our team in small batches in South Boston, MA.

Due to the nature of our product, used candles and diffusers cannot be return or exchanged. Unused candles and diffusers may be returned for a full refund or exchanged for another scent within 14 days of purchase. The buyer is responsible for shipping costs on all returned items. In the event the products are damaged during shipping from us to you, we will refund or replacement the item within 7 days of delivery. Photographic proof must be immediately provided via email to hello@notedcandles.com.


Workshop tickets are non-refundable but you are welcome to transfer to a different date, or receive credit via a gift card, with written notice provided to us via email at least 5 days in advance of the class date.

How does it work?
Our diffusers are made with VOC-free carrier oil, phthalate-free, quality grade perfume, and responsibly harvested rattan reeds. Once the reeds are inserted into the bottle, the mixture is carried up the reeds, thanks to the carrier oil, and just the perfume oil is diffused into the air. Voilà!

Tips from the maker: For new diffuser, dip the reeds in the mixture, flip, and insert to ensure first-time coating. Flip reeds every week or so to maintain consistent scent flow. Diffuser will be at the end of its life when perfume is no longer airborne – carrier oil will not completely evaporate.

How does it work?
Our diffusers are a low-to-no VOC carrier oil combined with our fragrances which are drawn up through the responsibly harvested rattan reeds and diffused into the air. Our fragrances are a blend of essential and other perfume grade fragrances in skin safe base oil. Over time the diffuser base liquid will all evaporate and the remaining oil will look very thick and viscous, the bottle will never be completely empty. You will know the diffuser is done when you no longer smell the fragrance from a distance and the remaining liquid in the bottle is very thick and discolored, there will be up to an inch of liquid remaining.

Tips from the maker:
To start a new diffuser, insert as many reeds as desired into the liquid and flip them after 24 hours. For a small space you may not want to use all the reeds provided, or use them all for maximum fragrance throw. To maintain consistent scent flow, we like to flip our reeds every week or so from there on out.

Shipping + Pick UP


Please allow up to 5 business days for your online orders to ship from our South Boston studio. We do our best to ship orders as quickly as possible but changes to our process and team due to Covid-19 sometimes means it takes us longer to pack and ship your items than in the past. All items purchased in our online store ship free via standard USPS ground shipping. We do not ship on federal holidays.


You will receive the tracking information via email as soon as it leaves our hands.  Please allow 1-3 business days for your orders to arrive once we ship based on how far you are from Boston, MA. 


All items ship free via standard USPS ground shipping, if you would like your order expedited please select Priority Express at checkout. You may also pick-up your order from our South Boston studio and see where the magic happens. If that option is selected we will contact you after your order is processed to setup a time but we are open for pick ups Monday - Friday 9am to 6pm EST and by appointment on weekends.

Returns + Exchanges


Due to the nature of our product, used candles and diffusers cannot be return or exchanged. Unused candles and diffusers may be returned for a full refund or exchanged for another scent within 14 days of purchase. The buyer is responsible for shipping costs on all returned items. In the event the products are damaged during shipping from us to you, we will refund or replacement the item within 7 days of delivery. Photographic proof must be immediately provided via email to hello@notedcandles.com.


Workshop tickets are non-refundable but you are welcome to transfer to a different date, or receive credit via a gift card, with written notice provided to us via email at least 5 days in advance of the class date.
