Cleaning a Candle Jar: 2 Methods
Cleaning a Candle Jar: 2 Methods Our jars are versatile. Once you've burned through one you can return them for points, recycle them yourself, or (our favorite) repurpose them. Here's how. STEP 1: REMOVE THE WAX The Hot Tub Method Boil some water, remove from heat, and place the candle jar in the water. When the wax melts and loosens enough, remove the puck of wax and pour out the molten wax. The Oven Method Turn your oven on to the lowest heat setting. Place the candle on a tray and put it in the oven. When the wax loosens enough, remove the puck of wax, and pour out the molten wax. STEP 2: CLEAN IT UP Use a cloth to wipe out the excess wax (NEVER put wax down your sink drain) and wash, with soap and water, to remove any remaining residue.
