The murders of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, and countless other Black people at the hands of police have sparked protests, conversations, and action surrounding racial injustice. We feel a change coming, and we want to do our part in bringing justice to communities affected by systemic racism, starting with our own community here in Boston. We want to uplift and support organizations that are committed to fighting against injustice, and making lasting change.

That’s why we’ve decided to donate to YW Boston, a nonprofit organization dedicated to “eliminating racism, empowering women, and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all.” YW Boston holds fundraisers, events, and conversations centered around women of color. They advocate for policy reform and awareness about “the over-criminalization of young women and girls of color,” specifically in Boston.

Our $500 donation would fund resources for this kind of advocacy as well as resources for young women, like the F.Y.R.E Program which “empowers girls through a curriculum incorporating social justice education, positive identity development, and civic engagement.”

In the hopes that you will join us in the fight against racial injustice and systemic racism we are offering REWARDS POINTS to anyone who makes a contribution to YW Boston. All you have to do is take a screenshot of your donation receipt, and send it to donations@notedcandles.com

For every $10 you donate, you will earn 100 Noted rewards points. As a reminder, 100 points = $1 off a future purchase, which means if you donate $30 to YW Boston, you earn get $3 off your next Noted purchase. We feel this is the best way to encourage support for this organization doing great things for our community.
