(Please note: I did not choose the color of my matcha-matching wall)
Those who know me know I am incredibly lazy yet incredibly efficient. Yes, that’s an electric kettle, yes it is next to my bed so I am able to enjoy a fresh brew without ruffling my Egyptian Cotton (from Marshalls, no less) sheets. To stomach the idea of having a kitchen appliance in my bedroom, I needed a design that could fit seamlessly into the décor of the room and my overall design aesthetic. Insert the Bella Electric Kettle – a quick-heating and quiet ceramic kettle that gives promise for a long productive day. But first, coffee.
Hollowed-out empty candle jars make for great Q-tip and makeup brush holders. Place in freezer once completely burned through and cooled, and carefully chisel out remaining wax.

When I think of cult beauty favorites, I think, Carmex Lip Balm, Maybelline Great Lash Mascara, and YSL’s Touche Éclat. An all-natural alternative to another cult favorite, Aquaphor, is Weleda Skin Food. Nourishing plant oils and flower extracts such as chamomile and calendula make this balm my go-to moisturizer in the summer for the ultimate dew. Meant for hands, used all over.

Given the close proximity of my 9-5, the beautiful weather, and the increase of MBTA fares and riders, I prefer to hop on my bike to work. Bicycle, that is. Equally freeing and terrifying, I have found a great website on how to bike safely on the road this summer. I also highly recommend the, not-super dorky, Bern Brenwood helmet to keep your noggin intact.

Lastly, what better way to celebrate hump day than to surround yourself with dogs of all shapes and sizes? I recently discovered Yappier Hour at the Liberty Hotel and it was the highlight of my week/year. $5 healthy pours of wine and free doggie treats? Count me in.

Until next time,
